Adam J. Lowy is the General Manager of Advanced Television for DISH Media Sales, the advertising sales division of DISH. Adam oversees advanced television advertising sales, business development, monetization strategy and operational execution. He also oversees sales strategy and operational execution for DISH’s groundbreaking OTT product, Sling TV as well as heads Marketing for Media Sales. Adam recently received DISH Network’s 2014 Distinguished Service Award.
Previously, Adam held multiple Vice Presidential positions at Canoe Ventures; the cable industry consortium dedicated to bringing advanced advertising products to television. At Canoe, Adam focused on strategy and operational implementation for interactive products and Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI).
Prior to Canoe, Adam was Vice President of Branded Entertainment & Online Integration at CBS Television Distribution, where he spearheaded digital strategy, sales development and led the execution of new monetization opportunities beyond the traditional television commercial.
Adam began his career at ABC Television Network where he served in multiple positions including Director of Affiliate Relations overseeing network contract, planning and strategy with its affiliated stations and General Manager of Program Operations where he oversaw technical operations.
Adam currently sits as Co-Chairman of the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Advanced TV Advisory Board where he just received the 2015 Service Excellence Award. In addition, Adam is an ex-officio member of its Digital Video Center of Excellence Board of Directors and a member of the IAB’s Programmatic Video Working Group. He is also a member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and the International Radio & Television Society (IRTS).
A graduate of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College as a Television/Radio Major and Politics Minor, Adam currently lives in Livingston, New Jersey with his wife Melissa and sons Ryan and Devin.
