UPFRONT 2010: V-me
24-hour Spanish-language network, V-me offers an array of new and returning programming as the network takes its upfront presentation on the road as an "infront" for agencies and clients in the coming weeks.
V-me's programming highlights fall in several categories starting with primetime entertainment:
• El Quinto Mandamiento (The Fifth Commandment) - Modern-day detective mystery set in and around Vatican City.
• Rex - Series about a crime-fighting dog that has been a big hit in Latin America and across the globe.
• Hay Alguien Ahi (There's Someone There) - New episodes of the first paranormal drama on US Spanish TV.
• Cuenta Atras (Countdown) - New episodes of this high-action police drama.
• Desafio en Himalaya (Himalaya Challenge) - New docu-series follows extreme outdoorsman Jesus Calleja as he escorts six novice climbers on this thrilling adventure.
V-me's lifestyle shows include:
• V-me Cocina - Daily two-hour cooking block showcases top chefs from the US, Mexico, Latin America and Spain. New episodes will add daily hosted segments and more online components.
• MiMascota.TV - New original hosted episodes focused on pets and pet lovers.
Primetime original series in the movies and music category:
• En Pantalla (On Screen) - This show expands to become a regular weekly half-hour show with host Jack Rico who highlights Spanish and English releases and home entertainment updates.
• Estudio Billboard - Original music interview series hosted by Leila Cobo brings more in-depth interviews and intimate performances.
V-me news and current affairs programming:
• Jorge Gestoso Investiga - Well-known anchor/journalist hosts and narrates a weekly series of topical national and international documentaries along with four quarterly network documentary specials during the year. Gestoso will also anchor V-me's Participa 2010 Election Night coverage in November.
• Oppenheimer Presenta - New weekly programs from the Pulitzer Prize winner.
