UPFRONT 2010: TLC
TLC, now a top ten network among women, will continue to position itself for continued growth in this sector with its slate of more than 47 new and returning series for 2010-2011.

TLC segments its series in a variety of categories starting with:

New series and pilots under Family:
•    Carpio Family Project - Series follows the TLC special Multitude of Multiples, featuring the Carpios, a family living in New York City with 18-month-old sextuplets and an 8-year-old son. Debuts 3Q 2010

•    Quintuplet Surprise - Series follows Austin-based Casey and Ethan Jones as they raise a six-year-old daughter and five new babies in today's tough economic climate. Debuts 3Q 2010

•    Twist of Kate - Kate Gosselin travels the US to learn how other people cope with work, family and life's challenges, in essence walking a mile in someone else's shoes. Kate will even try out other people's jobs, see how they deal with stresses and pitch in and help when she can. Premieres 3Q 2010

 

New series and pilots in the Family Business:
•    American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior - The popular series returns and follows action at the Orange County Choppers and the Teutul family. Debuts 3Q 2010

•    Auctioneers (wt) - A behind-the-scenes look at the busiest auction house in the country. Opens 3Q 2010

•    Homemade Millionaire (wt) - Kelly Ripa will host this series where aspiring entrepreneurs ask for help and advice on marketing, manufacturing and distributing their inventions. Kelly will partner with HSN to help make these women's dreams come true. Launches 3Q 2010

 

New series and pilots under Interesting Lives:
•    Sarah Palin's Alaska - Docu-series about Alaska seen through the eyes of its most famous resident and former governor. Sarah will travel through the state showcasing its beauty and its real people. Debuts 4Q 2010

•    Police Women of Memphis - Series follows four female officers based in Memphis and how they risk their lives in the line of duty daily. Premieres 2Q 2010

 

New series and pilots in the Food category:
•    Cake Boss College (wt) - Master baker Buddy Valastro invites eight aspiring cake-makers to compete for a job working at his Carlo's Bakery. Debuts 4Q 2010

•    Inedible to Incredible (wt) - People are nominated by their friends to get a recipe makeover, working with expert chef John Besh. Opens 2Q 2010

•    Cupcake Sisters (wt) - Six-part series follows sisters and business partners, Sophie and Katherine as they operate Georgetown Cupcake in Washington, D.C. Launches 3Q 2010

 

Wedding & Fashion new series and pilots:
•    Battle of the Wedding Designers (wt) - Competition series where a couple picks the wedding designer who will help them achieve the wedding of their dreams. Premieres 2Q 2010

•    Down the Aisle in Style (wt) - Expert hair and make-up teams transform brides in time for their big day. Opens 4Q 2010

•    Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta - New weekly, half-hour series goes inside Atlanta's top bridal boutique, Bridals by Lori. Debuts 3Q 2010

•    Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss - Series follow three plus-size brides in this part bridal show, part bridal story and part family therapy new program. Premieres 3Q 2010
