UPFRONT 2010: HALLMARK CHANNEL AND HALLMARK MOVIE CHANNEL
Hallmark Channel is the exclusive new home of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, library series/specials as well as new original series and specials. Hallmark Channel launches this upfront with an overall new Lifestyle theme and on Monday, March 29, will air the first of its MSLO series, repackaged episodes of The Martha Stewart Show. In the fall, Hallmark will premiere new episodes of The Martha Stewart Show, as well as an original Martha talk show and cooking series from MSLO. Hallmark Channels will also usher in 24 original movies in 2011 as part of its Hallmark Movie Original Movies banner, premiering on Saturday nights at 9p.
A sampling of the upcoming Hallmark Channel Original Movies:
• The Wild Girl - Starring Brian Austin Green and Graham Greene, a story about an unlikely team that goes on a rescue mission in the Sierra Madre Badlands and discovers an orphaned Apache girl in the wilderness. Premieres April 24 at 9p on Hallmark Movie Channel.
• Growing the Big One - Stars Shannen Doherty about a young woman who inherits her family's farm that is in debt and decides to try her hand at growing prize-winning pumpkins. She ends up falling in love with her contest partner and her grandfather's small town. Produced by GBO Films.
• The Night Before the Night Before Christmas - Stars Jennifer Beals and Rick Roberts as parents of a family that is too busy to get ready for Christmas. Muse Entertainment Productions produces.
• Call Me Mrs. Miracle - Movie in development stars Doris Roberts in the next installment of Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle, which premiered on the Hallmark Channel in December 2009.
Hallmark Channel will be in 90+ million homes by year's end, and Hallmark Movie Channel in 40 million homes.
