UPFRONT 2010: DIY NETWORK

DIY Network continues to be the go-to broadcast destination for homeowners in today's challenging economy. The network offers up 17 new series during 2010. Some of this year's new series include:

    * Money Hunters - Hosted by licensed contractor/realtor, Matt Blashaw and carpenter/mechanical engineer, Deanne Bell, this series works with homeowners to deliver the best renovation their money can buy. 13 half-hour episodes premiere May 1 at 8p and 830p during the network's May Day Money Marathon; regular time slot is Wednesdays at 830p starting May 5.
 
   * Rescue Renovation - Hosted by licensed contractor and Stud Finder Winner, Kayleen McCabe as she helps project-challenged homeowners who are in over their heads with renovations. 13 half-hour episodes premiere in June.

    * Rock Solid - Real-life cousins and stonemasons, Dean Marsico and Derek Sterns count down the 10 best ways to create a masonry masterpiece. 5 half-hour episodes premiere June 11 at 10p; regular time slot is Fridays at 10p.
 
   * Bath Crashers - Matt Muenster, licensed contractor/project manager and designer ambushes homeowners at a home improvement store and offers them a bathroom overhaul. 13 half-hour episodes premiere July 5 at 9p; regular time slot is Mondays at 9p.

    * Family Renovation - Docu-soap series about the Grant family who, with five children in tow, attempt to live in their house during a major renovation. 13 half-hour episodes premiere July 15 at 10p and 1030p; regular time slot is Thursdays at 10p and 1030p.

    * This New House - This magazine-style series is a partnership with the franchise, This Old House Ventures with DIY Network's Amy Matthews joining This Old House host Kevin O'Connor. 13 half-hour episodes premiere July 29 8p; regular time slot is Thursdays at 8p.

    * Run My Renovation - Hosted by carpenter Joanie Dodds and licensed contractor John DeSilvia, this interactive series uses online voting to determine what the homeowners will get. 13 half-hour episodes premiere August 19 at 1030p; regular time slot is Thursdays at 1030p.
