UPFRONT 2010: DISCOVERY EN ESPANOL

For its 2010-2011 programming schedule, Discovery en Espanol presents five new series:

    * Maras The Series - An original series production that is a spin-off of the Maras special. The series offers an objective examination of the growing problem of Latin American gangs in America.

    * Curiosity - From John Hendricks, founder of Discovery, this series asks monumental questions facing the world today such as "are we alone in the universe?" to "is time travel possible?" The series spans five years with 60 episodes with each episode centered on a specific question in science, civilization, technology and the human experience.

    * The Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero - From executive producer Steven Spielberg, this series documents the historic rebuilding of Ground Zero.

    * Wild Recon - Series travels with venom expert Donald Schultz as he harvests deadly venom from species around the world in the pursuit of saving others' lives.

    * Mr. and Mrs. Hawke - Former Special Forces survival expert, Myke Hawke and his TV journalist wife, Ruth are dropped in remote spots where they must survive as a team for four days/nights with only a knife and the clothes on their backs.


Discovery en Espanol is returning seven series to its line-up: Man Vs. Wild (seasons 5 and 6), I Shouldn't Be Alive (season 4), Monsters Inside Me (season 2), Extraordinary Stories (Anthology), River Monsters (season 2), Atlas 4D (season 2) and Wicked Attraction (season 3).
