A future minded multi-platform sports network is seeking a VP of Television Sales and Sponsorship to join our team.
STADIUM is the original multi-platform sports network featuring exclusive live and on-demand games and events, extensive highlights, classic games, original programming, and daily live studio programming. STADIUM includes a 24/7 linear feed distributed across both digital and broadcast platforms, as well as a comprehensive array of on-demand (VOD) digital content including additional live games and events.

Based in Chicago, Illinois, the VP of Television Sales and Sponsorship will be responsible for driving new business revenue and develop sponsorship programs by working with clients and agencies. The VP of Television Sales and Sponsorship will leverage their expertise and network to capitalize on linear-specific opportunities. By utilizing Stadium’s multi-platform assets, these programs will drive incremental value to Stadium’s current sales team.

What You Will Do:
Develop a pipeline of qualified sponsorship & media prospects and new revenue opportunities large enough to meet or exceed pre-determined financial goals
Identify client business needs, translating challenges into opportunities
Manage client relationships from initial pitch through transition, to long-term engagements and strategic partnerships
Diffuse and solve internal or external challenges that pose a threat to relationships or impede on sales success
Gain a full understanding of client marketing needs and business models in order to expedite sales cycle
Create resounding and strategic sales approaches, proposals, documents and presentations
Develop a comprehensive understanding of Stadium capabilities to accurately articulate Stadium value sponsorship & media proposition
Communicate industry opportunities to management and help facilitate conversations and direction designed to best position Stadium for success
Contribute ideas and promote a team-oriented culture to positively impact overall goals and objectives
Qualifications & Requirements:
Results oriented and goal focused, motivated by a rewarding commission-based compensation plan
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; high energy and proven motivational skill set
Demonstrated ability to influence
Passionate about the quickly evolving digital and linear industries
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced negotiation skills
Ability to understand the needs of the sales, audience development, production and technology teams
10+ years’ experience in revenue development with progressively responsible roles focused on integrated sponsorship
