Parents, a monthly magazine published by Meredith Corporation, unveils a new look and approach with its February 2012 issue out this week.  While still honoring its mission, Parents redesign aims to deepen the magazine’s connection with Millennial Moms, by featuring stronger visuals, which aim to be warmer, richer and make an emotional connection, like being a parent, as well as using a new color palette, and unique individual page design elements.  The magazine, which continues to be available in print and for tablets, has been reorganized into five sections:

  • Fun: where parents can turn for ideas on having a good time with their kids.
  • Kids: The latest news and thinking on important infant and kid’s issues that parents need to know, including coverage of health issues.
  • You: Mom’s place for all things personal, including beauty advice, as well as health and fitness tips.
  • Home: Home ownership, such as home decor and upkeep, household management, finance and cooking skills.
  • Grow: This 10+ page, age-and stage-based section delves into subjects of special concern and issues to individual age groups (e.g. infant skin issues, toddler tantrums, older kids topics like study skills or bullying).

NCircle Entertainment and Kidtoon Films partner to bring Dino Dan and Mighty Machines to 160+ movie theaters nationwide, for matinees, throughout this month.  Kidtoons will also be conducting blogger and theatre giveaway programs that will include Dino Dan and Mighty Machines DVDs, throughout the month on Facebook, Twitter and the Kidtoons blogger network.  For a list of theatres showing Dino Dan and Mighty Machines this January 2012 go to www.kidtoonfilms.com/theatrelocations2.html .

Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia Question: According to the TV series, in what year did the Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space launch?  1997, or more specifically, October 16th, 1997. Kudos to: David Stern-BARD Entertainment/NYC; Keith Manzella-Eastwest, MG,NYC; Marc Morrell-ToonBarn.com/Quakertown, PA.

In yesterday’s edition, I omitted the answer to the trivia question.  My apologies.  What New York neighborhood is The Wizards of Waverly Place located? Greenwich Village.

Today’s Trivia Question:  What show has the characters Apollo, Sweetpea Sue, Squacky, and Cowbella? (Email John@cynopsis.com with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
