Spil Games is teaming up with Universal Pictures to support the international release of Laika’s new 3D stop-motion animated feature film ParaNorman on its kid and family aimed online social gaming platforms. The deal was brokered by TED@MediaCom. Beginning this week the promotional campaign for the movie will go live in the UK, where ParaNorman will release on September 14, 2012. Spil Games’ fully integrated campaign for the movie uses advertising and editorial content on the homepages of all three of its UK social gaming platforms, GirlsgoGames.co.uk, Agame.com and Games.co.uk, and includes game hubs, avatars, and new game categories. Since release dates for ParaNorman are staggered across Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region, the campaign will run until January 2013, when the movie opens in Australia and New Zealand.
