Carolyn G. Bernstein joins National Geographic Global Networks as Executive Vice President, Head of Global Scripted Development and Production. She last served as Executive Vice President at Endemol Shine Studios.

A+E Networks has named Jim Hoffman as Executive Vice President, Program Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives. Hoffman was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for NBC Entertainment.

Scripps Networks Interactive has promoted two veteran programming executives. John Feld, formerly Vice President of Programming for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country, has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for the networks.  Steven Lerner, who has served as Senior Vice President of Programming for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country, has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Programming and Production.

Abby Ho has been appointed Senior Producer, Head of the CBC Fullscreen Creator Network.  She was previously in charge of CBC digital comedy brand Punchline.

Bill Rausch has been named Executive Director of national veterans campaign Got Your 6.  Rausch was previously Political Director at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, where he oversaw policy and advocacy campaigns.

Abby Pfeiffer, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Charter Communications, is taking over as President of the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association, effective January 1. Also joining CTHRA’s executive committee are Vice President Eric Hawkins, Executive Vice President of Human Resources Management for Discovery Communications; Secretary Seth Feit, Chief Learning Officer for Time Warner Cable; Treasurer Tom Tooker, Vice President of HR for A+E Networks; and at-large members Pam Hagan, Corporate Vice President of HR for Bright House Networks, and Sheryl Anderson, Executive Vice President of HR and Administration for Starz. CTHRA also named Michele Parks, Vice President of Talent Management at Cox Communications, to its board of directors.

Kelvin Mize has been named Vice President and General Manager of Raycom Media’s, KSWO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Lawton, OK. He had been General Manager/General Sales Manager at Fox affiliate, WTNZ, in Knoxville, TN.

Daniel Suratt, former head of Digital Media & Business Development at A+E Networks, has been elevated to President, Corporate Development, Strategy and Investments.Sean Cohan, who leads the A+E Networks International division, is also taking on oversight of Digital Media, and has been upped to President, International and Digital Media, effective January 1.

Maurico Piccone has joined Telemundo as Senior Vice President of Reality Programming. Previously, Piccone was SVP and Co-Executive Vice President at Endemol Shine Latino.

Canada’s Hollywood Suite upped Julie Kumaria to Vice-President, Marketing and Content Distribution. Previously, Kumaria had been Senior Director of Marketing.

Young & Laramore hired Taylor Harruff as a Brand Action Strategist. Previously, Harruff was a PR account executive at BLASTmedia.

Former Megalomedia Development Producer Grant Cross has joined the Original Programming division of AMS Pictures. Cross will report to AMS founder Andy Streitfeld.

ITV America’s Leftfield Entertainment announced four promotions: Gretchen Palek to Senior Vice President, Talent & Casting, Leftfield Entertainment; Simon Thomas to Vice President, Programming, Leftfield Pictures; Caroline Self to Vice President, Programming, Sirens Media and Genevieve Croteau to Vice President, Human Resources, Sirens Media.

Disney has tapped Courtney Holt to replace Ynon Kreiz as head the company’s Maker Studios, effective January 11. Holt has been chief strategy officer and will have the new title of EVP/head of Maker.

Litton Entertainment appointed Emmy winner David Doyle, who’s partnered with the company for projects, to VP, production & non-fiction development. Doyle was head of development and production at Animal Planet. Additionally, Mark Rains has been named executive in charge of production; he previously was at BBC Worldwide Productions; and Ilana Gordon has been named producer, branded content. She most recently was supervising producer on Project Greenlight.

Univision Communications promoted Jorge Dominguez to SVP of art and design. Dominguez has been part of UCI for nearly 30 years, most recently serving as VP of art design.

Marketing technology company Magnetic is expanding its ranks. Walt Cheruk, previously of [X+1] and Carat, joins as SVP of agency sales & development. Paul McCarthy, formerly of LivePerson, joins as VP of people operations. And Lauren Dubick, most recently at the firm Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer, is new general counsel/chief privacy officer.

Lockwood Broadcast Group appointed Neal Davis as GM of KAKE-TV in Wichita, KS. He most recently was GM at Lockwood stations WBXX and WKNX in Knoxville, TV.

Amy Savitsky has been appointed Senior Vice President, Development & Programming at A&E. Most recently, Savitsky served as SVP of Development for TLC.

Veteran television producer Matthew Vafiadis has joined Discovery as Vice President of Current Production. Previously, Vafiadis was Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Relativity Television’s Ellen Rakieten Entertainment.
