TLC responded to transphobic comments from Derick Dillard by cutting ties with the Counting On star. Last week Dillard posted a tweet saying transgender I Am Jazz star Jazz Jennings was being taken advantage of to promote an agenda, adding it’s “just unfortunate what’s on tv these days.” One person who won’t be on TV anymore, at least on TLC, is Dillard. Said the network in a statement, “Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.”
