FOX’s World Series coverage gets chatty with Facebook

MLB on FOX is teaming up with Facebook during the World Series in order to offer ‘live’ video chats during the games. Game 2 saw Hall of Famer Frank Thomas appear in a live video chat on MLB on FOX’s Facebook Page to answer questions from sports fans with another round set to take place during Game 3 on Friday night at Citi Field with Raul Ibanez. “A live report on Facebook is an innovative way for MLB on FOX to reach passionate baseball fans on the first and second screens,” said Rob Shaw, Sports Media Partnerships. “Facebook is the largest real-time social media audience for live sports events, and it’s exciting to see FOX Sports program content for this audience during the World Series.”
