Geraldine Laybourne has been appointed to the board of directors at 9 Story Media Group. The cable programming pioneer, founder of Oxygen Media, is currently Chairman and co-Founder of kids tech company Kandu.

Gary Levine has been promoted to President of Programming, Showtime Networks. Levine will continue to be responsible for the development and oversight of series, docs and specials across platforms, while now also overseeing casting and program operations.

George Sealey was upped to Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming and Development at NBC. Sealey started at NBC in 2012.

Leopard Films USA named Richard Cook its Vice President of Talent. Cook joins Leopard from Pulse Films, where he was Acting Head of Television.

Shaftesbury appointed Jay Bennett as Senior Vice President, Creative and Innovation. Bennett will continue to oversee Shaftesbury’s digital studio, Smokebomb Entertainment.

Susan Levison, VH1 EVP, original programming & production, is exiting the company after two years. Levison will continue to oversee several key projects in development over the next few months.

Christa Robinson has been named SVP, communications for CBS News. Robinson previously led communications and public relations functions for all CNN networks and digital platforms, in addition to being a member of its worldwide executive team.

Shannon Ryan was promoted to EVP, marketing & communications, for Fox Television Group. Rachel Webber joined Fox Television Group as SVP, seguing over from Fox Networks Group, where she served as a VP.

El Rey Network appointed Mark Sacher as VP, research, based in NY. Sacher joined NBCU in 2010, where he was VP, research for Sprout Network.

Cineflix Media appointed Dave Snyder as VP of development. Snyder previously was VP of development & production at Jigsaw Productions.

Directors’ consortium Interstate appointed indie director Laurent Barthelemy as a partner/director. Barthelemy has worked at Psyop, and directed projects for outlets including American Express, Showtime, and TED.

Branding and insights firm TruthCo. announced that COO Vernon Church will add the title of President, as founder and CEO Linda Ong focuses on key brands, public speaking and strategic opportunities. “I am thrilled to watch the company I have built from the ground up since 2000 grow into a media industry leader,” said Ong. “I’m excited to have Vernon take our core business to the next level.”

Dirk Hoogstra has been named Chief Creative Officer at Stephen David Entertainment. Hoogstra is former General Manager of History and H2.

Conde Nast Entertainment appointed Jonathan Koa as Senior Vice President, Scripted Programming. Koa had overseen comedy development at ABC.

Robert I. Brace was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for INSP. Previously, Brace served as Executive Vice President.

Carolann Dunn has been tapped to serve as Vice President of Sales for Peanuts Worldwide and Iconix Brand Group’s Entertainment Division. Most recently, Dunn ran her own licensing agency, Creative Properties.
