Angelina Jolie will direct an original drama for Netflix, available for subscribers in fall 2016. The movie will be an adaptation of Loung Ung’s memoir First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers. “It is a dream to be able to adapt this book for the screen, and I’m honored to work alongside Loung and filmmaker Rithy Panh,” Jolie told The Hollywood Reporter. Her Cambodian-born son, Maddox, will be involved in the film’s production.
