Good morning. It’s Monday, June 27, 2011, and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.
A new generation gets a whiff. Dimension Films will release director Robert Rodriguez‘s newest Spy Kids movie, Spy Kids: All The Time In The World in 4D with Aromascope. Just like the great John Waters’ did in his movie Polyester (1981) with Odorama, who in turn took a cue from the master William Castle, who in his Scent of Mystery (1960) employed Smell-O-Vision, Rodriguez’s film will provide movie audiences with a chance to smell his movie. The scratch and sniff Aromascope cards, free with purchase of a movie ticket, will feature eight numbers that correspond to moments in the movie. As each number flashes on the movie screen, audience members will know to scratch and sniff the corresponding number on their card. The Weinstein Company’s Dimension Films will release Spy Kids: All The Time In The World this summer on August 19, 2011. Anyone else miss Divine?

Today’s Trivia Question: This “spring tonic” was once brewed up each year in a hollow stump. As time went on, the tonic was brewed in an iron kettle in the kitchen, but had to be quickly bottled before it ate right thru the kettle. Who was brewing this tonic? (Email Cynthia@cynopsis.com with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
