Director of Marketing Communications

Job Summary

 The Director, Marketing Communications’ reporting to the Vice President, Marketing will be responsible for helping to define and manage execution of GSTV’s industry marketing strategy, inclusive of: optimizing reach/engagement of earned and paid media campaigns, PR and Thought Leadership, industry membership and event participation, and digital tactics.  The Director will work to understand and engage GSTV’s audiences, strengthening our visibility and driving demand among brands, clients, agencies and partners.

This position is both strategic and operational.  The Director will lead a Marketing Specialist and work with other teams to develop strategies, ideate and create lead-generating content to help advance GSTV’s objectives.  Requires an outstanding communicator, cross-functional team player, creative thinker and writer, and strong industry contacts and knowledge.

Responsibilities

 Industry Marketing – Develop and implement industry marketing strategies and plans, to generate measurable awareness and strengthen the company’s market position among key audiences.

  • Develop a keen understanding of network capabilities, limitations, etc. in order to facilitate more informed communications
  • Work closely with marketing counterparts and executive team on internal and external messaging
  • Strategize, plan and manage execution of all paid and earned media campaigns across industry and vertical-specific trades
  • Manage relationships and opportunities with industry organizations (i.e. DPAA, IAB, OAAA, Ad Clubs, etc.); ensure active participation among internal constituents
  • Manage Industry Marketing events, inclusive of executive attendance, sponsorship, exhibition, etc.
  • Create and maintain systematic ROI tracking and measurement
