The Sales Assistant is part of the Ad Sales team and supports the Advertising Sales department, interacting with Sales Planners, Account Executives, Ad Sales VPs and the Traffic/Operations department to ensure the maintenance of client schedules are in order.
The primary focus of this job is to strategically prepare our clients’ schedules according to their specs and the Network’s inventory avails. This person should enjoy interacting and servicing clients and accompanying the Sales team on meetings when available. The ideal candidate is a strategic person who is detail oriented, able to multitask at a fast pace and understands the tactical and strategic balance required to manage client expectations and the departmental goals.
Responsibilities • Create and maintain ordered schedules, flowcharts, brand allocations, as well as preventing and solving discrepancies. • Effectively communicate with clients via telephone and email to solve problems and handle requests. • Inform clients of all changes and updates to their schedules and programming. • Work with planning management to review post-analysis reports. • Liaison between traffic and agency contacts. • Assist team with drafting PowerPoint presentations, memos and expense reports. • Maintain departmental mailing lists. • Handle office administrative tasks which include: ordering office supplies and placing service orders for office equipment, when necessary. • Keep abreast of industry news via “trades” to increase and strengthen knowledge of position and get a general/broad understanding of what’s going on in the industry.
