NBC will broadcast 272.5 hours of Olympics coverage over 17 days, the most ever for an Olympic broadcast network due mainly to an increase in daytime coverage. NBC's coverage commences with the Opening Ceremony on July 27 at 730p and the network's coverage will include swimming, track and field, gymnastics, diving and beach volleyball among other sports. NBC's Olympic coverage will be divided into three day parts: daytime, primetime and late night. Bob Costas will serve as NBC's primetime host; Al Michaels and Dan Patrick will host the weekday and weekend daytime coverage; and Mary Carillo will host the late night show. MSNBC will have 155.5 hours offering a variety of long-from Olympics programming over 19 days. CNBC will house Olympic boxing coverage including the launch of women's boxing. The network will provide 73 hours of boxing coverage over 16 days. Bravo will home to Olympic tennis with 56 hours of long-form tennis coverage from July 28 to August 3.
