Yesterday, FOX renewed new sitcom New Girl for a second season, gave sitcom Raising Hope a third season and handed a fourth season to Glee. New episodes of Glee begin tonight following four weeks of FOX airing back-to-back comedies on Tuesday nights.
FOX has plans to air fewer Cops episodes on Saturdays during next season, clearing the way to add more sports events. FOX will schedule several major sporting events including NASCAR races, Major League Baseball games, college football games and Ultimate Fighting Championship matches to air 28 out of 32 nights from April 14 to December 8.
Summer premiere dates for two of The CW's new reality series have been set. The Catalina, following employees and guests of a posh Miami hotel bows on May 29 at 8p. Breaking Pointe, highlighting the world of competitive ballet opens May 31 at 8p. Then starting June 4, both series will air encore episodes on Mondays from 8-10p. The Catalina is produced by Bischoff Hervey Entertainment and Breaking Pointe is from BBC Worldwide Productions.
Gearing up for Earth Week, April 15-22, The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) launches the Green is Universal campaign that is part of NBCU's company-wide environmental initiative, as well as its newest original series Turbine Cowboys on TWC April 17 at 9p. Turbine Cowboys features men and women who must endure extreme heights and weather conditions to build, maintain and repair the giant turbines used to generate electricity from wind. Turbine Cowboys is produced by BCII. Throughout next week, TWC offers live content under the Green is Universal initiative such as the weekly feature Earth Watch on all of TWC's live shows; informational features on recycling; and meteorologists Mike Bettes and Mark Elliot will host other segments relating to environmental issues.
This spring, Syfy's Powerful Mondays programming block will house the fifth and final season of Eureka, premiering next Monday at 9p followed by the second season of supernatural drama series Lost Girl at 10p. Eureka is produced and distributed by Universal Cable Productions and Lost Girl is from Prodigy Pictures in association with Showcase.
A new season of American Guns debuts on Discovery Channel April 25 at 9p. The new season revisits the Wyatt family and their Denver-based Gunsmoke gunsmith enterprise that is as busy as ever with custom orders and walk-in clients involving historic to outrageous weapons. American Guns is produced by Gurney Productions for Discovery Channel.
Once TV Mexico, part of Instituto Politecnico Nacional and available in the US on DirecTV will premiere its new documentary series Entre Mares this Thursday at 730p. The six-episode series shows viewers the world that exists under Earth's oceans and seas. The series is hosted by international photographer and diver Manuel Lazcano and he is joined by several aquatic and sea life experts as guests.
Sunday's series launch of The Client List on Lifetime, starring and executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt and co-starring Cybill Shepherd among others, averaged 2.8 million total viewers. The Client List becomes the network's most-watched series launch in more than two years since Drop Dead Diva debuted on July 12, 2009, based on Nielsen Research.
Independent producer and distributor, Entertainment Studios, Inc. and owner of seven 24-hour linear hi-def television networks made a worldwide affiliation deal involving six of its hi-def cable networks with Vivicast Media. This agreement allows for licensing of Entertainment Studios Networks to Vivicast Media's partners. Entertainment Studios' six hi-def networks included in this deal are: Cars.TV, Comedy.TV, ES.TV, MyDestination.TV, Pets.TV and Recipe.TV. Entertainment Studios also has Legacy.TV.

Thursday A18-49 Analysis: FOX topped the pack by a narrow margin Thursday night at 3.1/9 among A18-49, according to final primetime national ratings from Nielsen. FOX's American Idol commanded the lead at 8p with a 3.9/13 followed by CBS' comedies The Big Bang Theory and Rules of Engagement at an average of 3.6/12. During 9p, CBS' Person of Interest led at 3.0/8 with ABC's Grey's Anatomy in second at 2.8/8 and FOX's newer drama Touch came in third at 2.3/6. Then at 10p, CBS held onto #1 with The Mentalist at 2.4/7 and ABC debuted new series Scandal at #2 with 2.0/6 and Univision's La Que No Podia Amar was a close third at 1.9/6.

CBS led a clean sweep this night starting at 8p with Undercover Boss delivering a 1.8/7 and Univision's Una Familia con Suerte was #2 at 1.4/6. At 9p, CBS was #1 once again with CSI: NY at 1.7/6 and ABC's Primetime: What Would You Do? was a close second at 1.6/5. CBS posted its third win at 10p with Blue Bloods at 1.7/5 and ABC's 20/20 and Univision's La Que No Podia Amar tied for #2 at 1.5/5 each.
