Science Channel's new series Catch It Keep It, premiering
July 17 at 10p, watches as valuable items are in danger of annihilation
unless three contestants, using their scientific and engineering skills
within 48 hours, can build contraptions to save the prize. The three
participants work against Science Channel's "engineer of
destruction" Mike Senese who designs creative strategies each week
to destroy everything from an $1,800 Gibson Les Paul guitar to a one
year's supply of beer. Host Zach Selwyn escorts viewers through the
48-hour period as the contestants work with and against each other to
build the saving device to win the prize. True Entertainment produces the
series.HBO's season two debut of its vampire drama True Blood last Sunday at 9p drew 3.7 million viewers. to ComScore, announced that it is laying off 1,000 employees or nearly
30% of its workforce in an effort to "return to start-up
culture." MySpace CE Owen Van Natta described the company's staffing
levels as "bloated," complaining that they hindering efficiency
and innovation. MySpace has lost about 5% of its users during the past
year finishing May with 70.26 million U.S. users, while ComScore has
doubled its audience from a year ago to 70.28 million U.S. users, per
