WE tv continues to promote all things
bridal, as a new season of wedding-themed shows opens June 7 and its
Sunday night programming block has been renamed to WE tv's Wedding
Sunday. Highlights of the block consist of the sixth season premiere
of Bridezillas at 9p and a sophomore season debut of Amazing
Wedding Cakes at 10p, with both preceded by an original special Top
10 Bridezilla Moments at 8p. To spur interest in the programming block,
WE tv launched its "Grand Central Terminal Domination"
promotion where the upper levels of Metro-North Commuter Railroad train
bays at Grand Central Terminal are wrapped with 200 outdoor ads all this
month in a campaign titled "Simply Weddings." The campaign will
also extend to taxi cabs in New York City and specific venues in Chicago.
Furthermore, WE tv is teaming with Conde Nast's Brides magazine
with an advertising partnership and the show Bridezillas will be featured
in a viral campaign and promo spots using the classic Nat King Cole song
"Unforgettable." Telemundo experienced a merry month in May, delivering primetime audience increases among A18-49 over May 2008. In Monday through Sunday prime, Telemundo's A18-49 audience grew by +25% versus last year (646,000 vs. 516,000). In Monday through Friday prime, Telemundo delivered on average +34% more A18-49 over last year (700,000 vs. 523,000). Telemundo ratings delivery information based on NTI live + same day, 4/28/08-5/25/08 vs. 4/27/09-5/31/09. VERSUS, the exclusive cable home of the NHL scored a big win Tuesday night with its Game 3 coverage of the 2009 Stanley Cup Final as the Pittsburgh Penguins went against the Detroit Red Wings. The game posted a 2.6 national HH rating and averaged 2.95 million total viewers.

Comcast Corporation extended its
relationship with NHL Network, adding the network to its Digital
Classic tier at the same time the 2009-2010 NHL season opens. Following
this addition, the NHL Network will reach almost two-thirds of Comcast's
total digital subscribers. The NHL Network provides live NHL games in
addition to special events on-location at NHL Winter Classic, NHL
All-Star, NHL Entry Draft and Stanley Cup Final among other programming.
In addition, NHL On Demand offers programming such as condensed games,
player profiles, archived games and more. Independent studio E1 Entertainment continues to make headway in Latin America, finalizing several deals at this year's LA Screenings. The procedural cop drama The Bridge (13 eps, 60m) was picked up by AXN for paid television rights in Latin America and the feature film The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler (90m) was sold to Leda Films for all television rights in Latin America. E1 also finalized agreements with Leda Films involving The Deadliest Sea and the Lifetime original movie, Murder On Her Mind.

NBC added Super Bowl coach Tony
Dungy and All-Pro and Super Bowl winning player Rodney
Harrison as Analysts for its studio show Football Night in
America. Tony and Rodney are not new to NBC as both participated in
NBC's Super Bowl XLIII pre-game coverage. Canada's Temple Street Productions and CBC Television began production earlier this week on a second season of Being Erica with twelve new episodes. Being Erica airs on SOAPnet in the US and is distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide. Correction: We inadvertently noted the premiere of the series Man Land on the wrong network. It debuted last Saturday on HGTV.

assume the title of Deputy Chairman and will oversee the News
Corp. empire from New York instead of LA. Mr. Carey's previous roles
include co-COO of News Corp., co-COO of Fox Entertainment and CEO of Fox
Television. His tenure with News Corp. dates back to 1988.

DIGITAL. CYNOPSIS KIDS - TODAY'S TOP STORY: CBeebies orders up a new in-house music-themed preschool series ZingZillas (52x22). Featuring the Zillas, a group of musical primates that create the ZingZilla sound, the series showcases all sorts of music genres from rock to opera to help get toddlers moving. Simultaneously BBC Worldwide acquires the global distribution rights for TV, merchandise, DVD and publishing for ZingZillas.
