INTERNATIONAL MARKET: GolTV picked up the exclusive U.S. and Canadian broadcast rights to all of the German National Team 2010 World Cup qualifying matches when they start in September. In addition to coverage to North American cable, satellite and telco subscribers, the network will exclusively air six of Germany's friendly games. Lionsgate acquired the exclusive home entertainment marketing, sales and distribution rights to HIT Entertainment's kids programming in the U.S. and Canada. Distribution will begin in May with new title Thomas and The Great Discovery to also be one of the first released in September. The deal also covers electronic sell-through to the HIT-owned titles in addition to the DVD distribution rights. CABLEready inked a series of international licensing agreement in addition to reaching a new sub-distribution deal with Off The Fence for the African continent. The Amsterdam company the rights for Africa to 328x30-minute episodes of Forensic Files and Medical Detectives and signed on as CABLEready's exclusive sales agent for the African territory.
