INTERNATIONAL MARKET: Azerbaijan blocked broadcasting of Russia's RTR Planeta TV channel as of January 1 stemming from technical differences. The National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan and the network have been trying to talk about mutual broadcasting of Azerbaijan's AzTV1 national channel in Russia and RTR Planeta in Azerbaijan since this past June. Russian legislation dictates that half of the investments made in a channel broadcasting in the country must be from Russian capital. As such, AzTV1 does not hold a relevant license to air in the country. Nat Geo Wild is going wild on Hong Kong Cable Television. The National Geographic Channels International channel launched with dual voice track options in English and Cantonese, according to World Screen.
