Greetings! It's Monday, December 17, and this is your Cynopsis Special Edition, taking a look back at the Year 2006.
It started in 2005, but 2006 was the watershed year for Digital and most used the spaghetti method when choosing what platforms to optimize - throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.
There were also a lot of very top level Executive Moves with folks retiring, or moving on a result of a merger.
And entirely too often in 2006, there was news of injury or the kidnapping of journalists in Iraq - beginning with Bob Woodruff and camera man Doug Vogt.
2006 was also the turnover of the CBS and ABC anchor chairs, and Meredith Vieira got herself a new view, as does Rosie and then Star Jones, tho not as smoothly.
Viacom began the year as two twins, Google buys YouTube, Sony buys Grouper, Turner signs with Cingular, Tivo signs with Verizon, and Cableready and Cynopsis join to create CableU.
