Nielsen Media Research is starting up a branding ad
campaign this month. The African American full-service
communications agency Burrell is collaborating with Nielsen on a
new awareness campaign to highlight the company and aspects of its TV
reports. In addition to its focus on Detroit metro media advertising,
Nielsen will release the print, radio, online and cinema ad campaign in
other US media outlets. Nielsen's informational ads are focusing in on
Asian, African-American, Arabic and Hispanic consumers with an eye on
informing them about Nielsen's TV ratings role. Print ads will be
found in Chinese-, Spanish- and English-language ethnic weekly
publications and national publications with radio ads on African American
and Spanish- and English-language Hispanic stations and on-screen
advertising in multicultural movie theaters.
