INTERNATIONAL MARKET: CABLEready has picked up the international rights to TV Guide Channel's The Fashion Team, a weekly 30-minute series giving an inside look at the world of fashion and what the celebs are wearing. The series is hosted by celebrity stylist David Evangelista, comedian Daphne Brogdon and a rotating weekly guest host, including fashion experts, top models and fashion magazine editors. In addition, CABLEready is also offering six new episodes of TV Guide Channel's Infanity, an in-depth look at current TV shows. These episodes include The Shield, Monk, The Unit, Cold Case, Heroes and Law and Order: SVU. Fox Sports International and the English Football Association Premier League have renewed Fox Soccer Channel's exclusive U.S. broadcast rights covering the Barclays English Premier League through the 2009-10 Premiership season. Fox Sports en Espanol picked up the U.S. Spanish-language licensing rights as well. Indian film/video/TV company BODVOD has partnered with Canada's Rogers Cable Communications Inc. Beginning this month, the BODVOD movie and music content will be available for viewing on Rogers' Bollywood Oye! On Demand Video On Demand service. The launch will include full-length movies including films Rang De Basanti and superhero action blockbuster Krrish. Additional film content will be added in the coming months. HISPANIC MARKET: Fox International Channels and cable company Utilisima's founder, Ernesto Sandler, have teamed up to create Fox Toma 1. The new Spanish-language content company will be based out of Buenos Aires, producing 2000+ hours of unscripted programs for Latin American channels Utilisima, Fox Life, FX, Fox and Speed Channel. Utilisima will be folded into Fox International Channels' fold in 1Q2007. Ernesto Sandler has been named as Fox Toma 1's President/CEO. Media sales firm WorldLink picked up the Direct Response spot sales exclusively for Azteca America. The company also works with other Hispanic clients such as Fox Sports en Espanol, CNN en Espanol, GLR, and others. Wondering who People en Espanol picked as the 100 Most Influential Hispanics? Jennifer Lopez topped the list along with Juanes, Luis Miguel, Shakira, Ricky Martin, and about 95 others. The list honors people who have made a significant impact in the Hispanic community. EXECUTIVE MOVES: MTV Networks International has made several key appointments and promotions in its Viacom Brand Solutions (VBS) Global team, based in New York. All three will report to Marc Weinhouse, VBS Global's SVP.
