Ed Wells has joined Sesame Workshop as Head of International Media and Education. Most recently, Wells was EVP and Head of International for WWE, Inc.
Creative agency Zambezi hired Dawn Thomas as its first Head of Culture Strategy and Content Innovation. After founding Overbrook’s interactive marketing division, Thomas ran a consultancy for creative talent, TV networks and brands.
Fox Networks Group U.K. Managing Director Jeff Ford will retire at the end of 2017, but will continue to work on espionage thriller Deep State after his exit. “Since joining our organization in 2015, Jeff has been instrumental in the success of our U.K. business,” said Diego Londono, CEO, FNG Europe & Africa.

Joshua Reader was promoted to Senior Vice President of Distribution and Content Partnerships at AMC Networks. In this new role, he will continue to manage licensing and affiliate marketing for the company’s national networks while adding a focus on identifying distribution and partnership opportunities for the company’s content on new and emerging digital platforms. 
Comedy Central upped Shawn Silverman to Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing. Silverman will oversee the strategic development of all off-channel and paid advertising campaigns, consumer and industry promotional events, and experiential marketing initiatives.
Jayson DInsmore is leaving his role as Executive Vice President of Development for CMT, and Tom Zappala will step down from his role as EVP, Programming for Spike. The exits are part of a move to centralize development teams at Viacom Global Entertainment Group. Cross-brand promotions at Viacom include Karen Cummins, promoted to Senior Vice President, Marketing Partnerships for Paramount Network and TV Land; Scott Gregory, appointed to the newly created role of SVP, Programming, Media Planning & Acquisitions, Paramount TV and TV Land; and Deva Newman, who will serve as SVP, Creative for Paramount Network.
National Geographic Partners named David Miller as Senior Vice President and General Manager, NationalGeographic.com, and Kyle Christensen as Vice President of Channel Social and Digital Strategy. Miller most recently served as VP of Product Management for AOL, while Christensen hails from Netflix.
Universal Cable Productions has hired Jeanie Bradley as Senior Vice President Current Programming. Bradley was formerly Sony TV’s head of current.
NAB has extended President and CEO Gordon Smith’s contract until March 31, 2023. The former U.S. Senator from Oregon joined the trade association in 2009.

E! Entertainment has hired TV veteran Amy Introcaso-Davis as EVP, development & production. Introcaso-Davis most recently served as EVP, programming & development at GSN.
MGM Television, headed by Mark Burnett, is expanding its scripted team. The company brought in Andrew Mittman as SVP, television production and development. Additionally, Max Kisbye was promoted to EVP, television production & development. Mittman joins MGM TV from Whalerock Industries, where he served as president of film & scripted television.
Several executive moves at A&E Network. Sean Gottlieb has been promoted to VP, development and programming, Molly Ebinger has been promoted to executive producer, and Rachel Deel has been promoted to associate producer.  Additionally, Marcie Hume joins the network as senior executive producer. Hume previously worked at Two Four Productions
Pilgrim Media Group development executive Nicole Silveira has been upped to head of development and VP of the company. Silveira joined Pilgrim in early 2016 as VP, unscripted development.
Creative agency We Are Royale brought in Heidi Netzley as director of business development. Most recently, she was director of new business at Digital Kitchen, where she led show launch campaigns for CBS and E!.

Netflix hired Melissa Cobb as Vice President of Kids and Family Content. Cobb joins from DreamWorks, where she last served as Chief Creative Officer and Head of Studio for Oriental Dream Works.
Telltale Games named Pete Hawley as President and Chief Executive Officer. He replaces co-founder and current CEO Dan Connors, who is stepping back to an advisory role, on September 18. Hawley last served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Zynga.
