Just in time for the World Cup, Netflix will premiere the soccer-themed film This Is Not a Ball on June 13. The 90-minute documentary follows Brazilian artist and photographer Vik Muniz exploring the world’s passion for the sport while creating art constructed from 20,000 soccer balls.

… the streaming service also announced that BoJack Horseman, its original adult animated feature voiced by Will Arnett and Aaron Paul, will debut on Aug. 22. The 12 eps will revolve around a washed-up former sitcom star and human-like horse.

Award-winning documentary DamNation will screen in 23 cities across the U.S. on June 5, and arrive on Vimeo the following day. The film, which sheds lights on the positive effects of removing out-of-date dams, won awards at this year’s SXSW festival and at the DC Environmental Film Festival. On June 6, Vimeo On Demand will release the doc under the Patagonia Selects Collection; viewers can purchase it for $9.99 or rent for $5.99.

NBA Digital will cover the 2104 NBA Finals through live streaming across NBA TV, NBA.com, NBA Mobile and the NBA Game Time app. Starting June 7, NBA.com and its mobile app will include a "Finals hub" with video highlights, scores, stats, live-streamed press conferences and social media conversations.

For the second year in a row, YouTube is supporting LGBT rights during Pride Month, but with a focus on athletes within the community in the #ProudToPlay campaign. The site launched a video on its YouTube Spotlight channel, staring openly gay athletes like Michael Sam as well as supportive straight athletes like Kobe Bryant, and popular YT LGBT creator Hannah Hart. Throughout the month, viewers can scroll through videos from LGBT athletes and creators and the You Can Play project.

Comcast ad division Comcast Spotlight and programmatic tech provider Rubicon Project are partnering to allow marketers buy ads on XFINITY.com and XfinityTV.com. Rubicon’s Advertising Automation Cloud will let brands buy ad inventory in real time, accessing the cable provider’s 20 million subscribers. Comcast’s VP of Interactive Sales Tom Straszweski told Adweek that they hope to dive into programmatic mobile ad sales next.

Jukin Media appointed Jessica Samet as its new Head of TV Production. Previously, Samet was Senior Vice President of Development and Original Programming at MTV.

Beth Miyares joins Fox as Senior Vice President of Programming (drama), along with Conor Welch as Vice President of Comedy. Prior to Fox, Miyares was Vice President of Drama Development at CBS, and Welch was Head of Feature Film for Funny or Die.

Digital video network Ora.TV hired Jamie Schutz as Executive Vice President of Production and Branded Entertainment. Schutz was most recently Head of Production Entertainment for Ogilvy Entertainment.

The second season of Ben Stiller‘s web series, Next Time On Lonny, premiered yesterday. Maker Studios and Stiller’s Red Hour Digital launched the first three episodes of the comedy series that parodies reality TV. A new episode will air each Tuesday and Thursday on Maker.TV, and re-air on Maker’s comedy hub Nacho Punch every Wednesday and Friday. Verizon sponsors the second season.
