Although Maker Studios approved the $500 million Disney deal, another lawsuit has hit the digital network. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Maker stockholder Andy Faberlle‘s lawsuit is similar to the previous one made by ex-CEO Danny Zappin. Faberlle claims: "[Maker’s Board of Directors] orchestrated a scheme to illegally issue enough shares to themselves and those friendly to them that would be required to approve any sale." Last week, Relativity Media also made a $1.1 billion offer to acquire Maker, but was denied.
Crackle, a unit of Sony Pictures Television, today debuts SuperSong, an hour-long special documenting the experiences of singer Ricky Martin and music producer Salaam Remi as they record a track for the official album of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The tune was written by the winner of a contest launched last December by Sony; "Vida" and its video will be available for download on iTunes tomorrow, April 22.
Aereo‘s CEO has no Plan B if it loses its Supreme Court case, which begins tomorrow (Tuesday), brought by broadcasters claiming copyright infringement. In a recent interview with The Associated Press, CEO Chet Kanojia said that his $100 million investment in the service is not "optimized for loss," and "if you believe your position, the only thing you should do is play to win." He added, "The entire market base is changing with access to alternatives, whether it’s Neflix or iTunes. Aereo is simply a piece of the puzzle."

The FCC offered details on Friday regarding its upcoming auction of broadcast airwaves for wireless use, with an incentive auction intended to encourage stations to participate. Said FCC chairman Tom Wheeler in a blog post, "Getting the Incentive Auction right will revolutionize how spectrum is allocated. By marrying the economics of demand (think wireless providers) with the economics of current spectrum holders (think television broadcasters), the Incentive Auction will allow market forces to determine the highest and best use of spectrum."

Top Gainers: College Humor had two viral videos in March, including If Google Was A Guy (Part 2) (10,170,810 views) and Photoshop Has Gone Too Far (22,069,930 views), which accounted for a 117 percent month-over-month increase in views.
Top Channel Distributors: Vevo came in first with 20 channels in the Top 100. Maker Studios came in at second with 10 channels, and Machinima at third with five channels.
