EXECUTIVE MOVES

Jane Latman has been named President of HGTV, and will oversee all programming, development, and overall strategy and operations at the net. Latman, who had been GM of Travel Channel, replaces Allison Paige, recently named President of Discovery’s joint venture with Chip and Joanna Gaines.
 
Transactional VOD and PPV programming distributor In Demand, owned by Charter Communications, Comcast Cable, and Cox Communications, hired John Ward as CTO. Ward has worked for the AT&T Entertainment Group, DirecTV, and Fox Sports in a variety of executive production and content operation roles.

Viacom added two executives to its Music Group, which comprises MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo. Mala Chapple comes onboard as SVP, content strategy, operations and media partnerships and Todd Radnitz joins as SVP original series. Chapple most recently was COO/EVP production at Eastern; Radnitz most recently was SVP, creative and digital at World of Wonder.
 
Entertainment One hired Bill Wilson as SVP, digital operations and innovation, music. He most recently worked as a consultant and as co-founder of indie.ninja, a platform linking labels, managers, and artists to freelancers. 
 
The Producers Guild of America promoted Susan Sprung to national executive director and COO. Sprung has served as associate national executive director since 2012 and COO since 2016.
 
SpotX, a video advertising and monetization platform, appointed Jeanne Leasure as its first VP of people. Leasure most recently led the HR department at Boa Technology.
 
Ipsos appointed Julia Clark to the newly created role of head of marketing and communications for Ipsos in North America. Clark has been repping Ipsos in an external capacity since 2005.
 
NBC News promoted Blayne Alexander from a correspondent contributing to its video and feed service to full-time capacity as a correspondent based in Atlanta.
